Ok, so I'm finally doing the switch. I've been contemplating switching over to Mac for a long time. Now that Mac's can run Windows, it's a no brainer. I just purchased a 17" Macbook Pro from amazon.com. I can't wait to finally put this on our network. I'm hoping this will increase efficiency while on the road. Our lab computer is really fast but the laptop we use is just over a year old and weighs a ton. I've been picking Paul Ruettgers' brain from Ruettgers Photography about this purchase for the longest time! Apparently it is best to wait a year or so after a new computer is released so they can work out all the bugs. Ray Santana from Ray Santana Photography also helped motivate when he purchased an $8,000 Mac Pro with a 30" display! I met both photographers at a Mike Colon seminar last year. This New Year has made me realize how fortunate I am to belong to an industry with so many photographers willing to share information to try and take wedding photography to the next level. That is why I can't wait for WPPI to come around this year. It is an opportunity to reconnect with our photographer friends from across the country.
