Ok, I think I've taken a long enough break from blogging. I will be posting more frequently. I'm backlogged with weddings I plan on posting....so be sure to check back for those updates. In the meantime I have decided to finally write my review on the IPhone. I know there are probably thousands of reviews but for some reason some do not include what I feel are the more important issues.

I was fortunate enough to pick up my IPhone the day they were released. Unfortunately I received a defective unit so I spent days trying to get it up and running. Finally the product specialists at Apple asked that I take it to the Apple store so that it could be sent up north so they could analyze the unit. In exchange I was given a new phone (which I had to reactivate) and it immediately started working. Since then it has worked flawlessly. The following are what I see as the Pros and Cons:

Pros:
  1. Syncs well with apples software i.e. imail, address book, itunes, etc.
  2. Screen is awesome!
  3. Email program works really well especially with yahoo email (which is a push service). It will also place a copy of your sent email in your sent items folder.
  4. Replaces my ipod, my pda and my old phone!
  5. The directions and mapping software works extremely well.
  6. The camera takes surprisingly good pictures (assuming their is sufficient lighting)

Cons:
  1. Keyboard takes some getting used to.
  2. Battery life is not long enough and you cannot swap batteries in and out as it is enclosed in the unit.
  3. The EDGE network can be painfully slow.
  4. THERE IS NO TASKS PROGRAM.
Ok, I am the type of person that loves to have a checklist with me when it comes to my "to do" items. This phone does not have that software. I couldn't believe they didn't include something like that. I hope some software developer comes up with a tasks progam...I would definitely buy it.

Well in the meantime, leave you with a picture taken on my IPhone of Randy showing off a glass of Hefeweizen we recently brewed.

Cheers!

Wow I was really impressed with how tasty the Hefeweizen came out. It had a great clear color with a that crisp refreshing taste you get from a good Hef, good idea with putting in the orange slices it gave it the citrus kick it needed with out overpowering the flavor of it, like a lemon slice normally does. My Complements go out to you Frank. I am amazed at how far you have come from the first Ale you brewed. Truly becoming a Brew Master. And if the offer still Stands Frank I would like to see the brew process one of these days.
