It's 2:00am and I can't stop digging into the new operating system apple just released. It is really unbelievable! There are so many upgraded features to help you get organized. There are also features that allow you to utilize your desktop as if it were 4 different quadrants (program is called spaces). You can designate certain applications to be in certain quadrants i.e. you could place communication projects like mail and your browsers in quadrant 1, the next quadrant can contain Photoshop and other image editing applications. 3rd quadrant could have a video you are editing...and so on. Other features include email templates and a new finder feature which lets you see files in a gallery view with larger previews and a cool feature that lets you hit the space bar for a nice sized preview of what file you are looking at. The file could even be word documents, excel documents, pdfs etc. My favorite feature is the time machine which lets you go back in time retreving documents you might have thrown away or lost. This information can be backed up to an external drive which can really save you if someone ever steals your notebook or if your drive was to ever crash.

If anyone is still deciding whether or not to purchase Leopard my advice is buy it. It is one of my best buys for 2007!

My favorite part of the year is here! I love the holidays. I will be posting some engagement sessions shortly. In the meantime here are some images of Madison and Sandra at the pumpkin patch.

Here is a picture of Sandra taking home our little pumpkin followed by an image of her and my beautiful niece Jade.

Ok, by the end of our trip the exhaustion was kicking in. We had been to countless ruins and were not sure if we could make it up the the Acropolis of Athens. We checked into the Athens Athaneum Hotel which was exactly what we needed. We took a nap and got ready to lug around our stuff to visit the Acropolis. We are so glad we did! The site is under construction as they are trying to renovate the ruins. I usually hate when historic sites are rebuilt because I feel like I am paying to see a replica not the real thing. Well, for the first time I actually think it is a GREAT thing! The reason for this is because they are using a new material to reinforce and support the existing structure (instead of trying to make it all seem like the same material). This new material is a different color which allows you to differentiate between the original stone and the new material.

There are also images of things we saw on our way to get the metro heading to the Acropolis.

Here are some images from Nafplion and our last day on the Seven Seas Voyager. The food was great, the staff was awesome and the ship itself is better than any other cruise ship we've ever heard of. They had caviar, filet, lobster fine wine...boy I'm going to miss it. They even had a cool cigar lounge.

The images include the tender we took to the city as well other random images.

Out of all the Greek Islands and Turkish cities, I have to say Santorini exceeded my expectations the most! I would love to go back and spend much more time to there. Like most everyone else I've always associated the cobalt blue dome building with it but never really knew much more. Santorini is actually the remains of an enormous volcano eruption. Much of the city is on top of high steep cliffs which drop off to the Aegean sea. The quickest way down to the port is on cable cars which can be scary if you are afraid of heights.

Kusadasi was much different than I had anticipated. It was much rural and very different than Istanbul. Parts of the town reminded me much of Tuscany. What also surprised me was the number of Turkish flags! Everywhere you turn there was a flag.

The following are random images taken in a small town just outside of Kusadasi.

It was a such a great time getting to know so many people on board the Seven Seas Navigator. For those of you who trying to get a hold of me, shoot me an email at franksaldana at franksaldana.com.

Unfortunately the internet on board did not allow me to attach images to blog posts. I will be catching up on my blogging with entries I archived during the trip.

The following are images taken on the island of Mykonos.

Take care!
